Resurrecting!

A few weeks ago, while preparing for the Easter Sunday Service at church, one of my friends proposed the song “Resurrecting “to me, being our theme song (You will find a link to that song under media)

When it came to the bridge, God revealed himself to me in a particular way:

'By Your spirit I will rise From the ashes of defeat The resurrected King Is resurrecting me In Your name I come alive To declare your victory The resurrected king Is resurrecting me'

Ever since I have received Christ as my savior, it has really touched me how He gave his life for me, and took all my shame and my sins. Today by His sacrifice, I am free and alive in Him. My life has completely changed from then on, and it's still in the process as I still have a lot to learn and let God change in me.

But while listening to the song, it brought me to another level of praise to God. Not only that God saved me from death and gave me eternal life, but He also lifted me up from the pain and emotional hurt I have experienced all through my life, especially in my childhood. As a child I never knew what is was to feel loved and appreciated or encouraged. I was left alone to face the world and all its struggles, and I grew up feeling very insecure and unsure of what was ahead of me.

Even though I didn't have all I needed to equip to live all stages of life, God in His great love and by His power, not only gave me eternal, forgiveness for my sins and hope to move on, but He also raised me from the ashes of defeat and delivered me from all my fears and insecurity, and today I have victory in His name.

Whatever the circumstances you've been through, be encouraged today that God not only gave his Son on the cross to save you from death, but by His power He has also given you victory over all you battles. You have victory in Jesus' name today, just go to Him, and surrender it all at the foot of the cross.
