A Divine Exchange - A 21 day Prayer and Fasting Journey! Day 3

  • James 5:16 (NIV) Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

As we move into day 3, let us continue to pray for one another. May our prayers rise to our Heavenly Father as incense. Let us ask God to give us a humble and forgiving heart. That humility will bring us to our knees asking for the forgiveness of our sins, and that with love we will forgive all those who have hurt us.

When I edited the prayer and fast journey a while back, I had no idea that all of what is going on in Ukraine would be happening at the time. The pain, fear, and sense of helplessness felt by the people over there cannot be described in words, and in the face of what is happening, it might seem impossible to know how to help. Friends, there is a lot you can do a lot to help the people of Ukraine, and I encourage you to approach the Lord and ask him to show you how you can support those in need.

We can begin by praying, fasting, and offering all kinds of prayers and supplications. And as we pray for Ukraine, let us seek God's face and direction in how we should pray for the whole world. Let us be alert to what is going on around us and be ready to be the hands and feet of God wherever we are. As Christians, we are called to share the Good News, and what is the Good News more than the love of God, the compassion of our Lord? As a child of God, we are called to spread the gospel and to show to this broken world that there is a God who loves and cares for us. As a final thought, I will repeat today's verse, the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. Amen
