Advent Scripture reading Day 6. December 4th
28The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. (NIV)

As you can imagine I had a lot of fun preparing this Advent Calendar. I did quite a bit of research here and there before selecting what to put or not and I listened to hours and hours of songs on YouTube trying to make the most appropriate selection.
Every time I was going through the wonderful story of Jesus' birth, I was learning something new, and one of the aspect of Christmas I was reflecting on was humility. From His birth, His death and His resurrection, Jesus has been teaching us so much about what true humility means. In today's world, being humble is not really a characteristic we are being encouraged to have, as it is considered the opposite of being bold. I pray that during this Advent season, that we will open up our hearts to what it is to be humble like Christ.
Reflecting on the humble King born in a manger!
Jesus humbled himself when He came to us as a baby, showing us a lot about humility. This Christmas season, let us seek God and ask Him to show us more about this humility.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.
