Do We Stop Believing in a God who heals when facing a life threatening diagnosis or when Healing Takes Long?

There’s something sacred about the waiting room of healing. It’s the place where time stretches, prayers seem to echo back empty, and hope feels like a fragile thread you hold with trembling hands. When the body doesn’t recover quickly, or when the heart still aches after so many prayers, it’s easy to wonder: Should I stop asking? Should I stop believing?
The answer is no, not at all.
Belief isn’t proven by how quickly something changes; it’s revealed by how deeply we stay anchored when nothing does. Faith doesn’t deny the length of the journey; it transforms it. Healing is not only about what is restored in the body but also about what is fortified in the soul: patience, surrender, endurance, and intimacy with God that can’t be built any other way.
There’s a quiet faith that rises in those who keep praying even when the outcome isn’t yet visible. It’s the faith that says, “Lord, even if You take longer than I hoped, I still know You are good.” It’s the belief that healing is still coming. Maybe not only through medicine or miracles, but through peace that surpasses all understanding.
Sometimes, the longer the wait, the deeper the work God is doing beneath the surface: unseen but transforming. Healing can begin in unseen places: in how you think, how you trust, how you rest, how you forgive, and how you love life again despite the ache.
So no, we never stop asking. We never stop believing. We don’t give up on healing because while the timeline may be long, the Healer remains faithful, unhurried, and always near.
Keep praying. Keep believing. Even long journeys lead home.
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
With love,
