36He told them this parable: “No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. 37And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. 38No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. 39And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’ (NIV)
Hello friends!
Here we are, at the dawn of 2024. We are being given another year to look forward to with new projects, a new story to tell, more memories to make, and a feeling of hope for a better year.

As we reflect on our accomplishments, the word 'new' erent thinmany different things to many

In anticipation of the possibilities that this new year holds, we start making all kinds of 'New Year's resolutions'. Taking a piece of paper, we start listing all kinds of thoughts, writing weekly, monthly, and long-term goals - individual plans, family plans, and the ideas keep coming one after another as we hope for something better, something new.and long-term goals - individual plans, family plans, and the ideas keep coming one after the other as we hope for something better, something new..
Sadly, as we all know and might have experienced ourselves, the list remains on paper and nothing gets accomplished past January. Around mid-January, the excitement of a fresh start fades away as we barely attempt to achieve our goals.sometime around mid-January as we barely try to accomplish the goals we had planned.

With today's passage in mind, I want to encourage you to explore what God has in store for you in 2024. Sit at the foot of the cross and talk to God before you make your list. You are cared for by Him, and He has plans of joy and hope for you. Even if you don't see it now, He has the best for you in every aspect of your life.
